The Bluegrass Intergroup Office needs volunteers to accept 12 Step calls. This would require responding to a call from someone who is looking for help with their drinking problem. It could be answering questions about A.A., perhaps meeting someone at a meeting or giving a ride to a meeting. This way we can help the still suffering alcoholic and carry the message of recovery. Calls from men are handled by men and women respond to women’s queries.
12 Step volunteers are very important to the A.A. program and a great way to be of service. It is suggested that volunteers have at least three (3) years of sobriety.
The Bluegrass Intergroup Office has a local answering service that handles all incoming calls when the office is closed.
